Sugar Cream Pie

A dear friend of mine, Doris Piercy, published this recipe in Pike Creek Church of the Brethren church cookbook in 1985. I think you will enjoy this recipe, for me, it brings back so many wonderful memories. This recipe will make 2 pies.

Ingredients

3 3/4 cups sugar

3/4 teaspoon salt

3 cups milk

3 eggs

3 tablespoon butter, can add a little more if desired

2 pie shells

nutmeg

Directions

Step 1: Mix all ingredients together, mix well

Step 2: pour the mixture into the 2 pie shells. As even as you can or use a measuring cup

Step 3: Top with a little nutmeg

Step 4: Bake at 425-degrees for about 30 minutes or until set in the middle. The pies will still be a little giggley in the center. Do not over bake
