A very tasty dip. A popular recipe in the 60's and 70's that has seen a come back in recent years. An elegant name to be on the table.
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
1 package real bacon bits (or 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled)
Step 1: In a large bowl, stir together cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, almonds, green onions and bacon together until evenly incorporated.
Step 2: Refrigerate dip for at least 30 minutes, or until chilled.
Step 3: Serve with crackers or vegetable sticks
